Conclusion: I would take a stronger case of the same size if I had to buy another one. Until we get to the vet, it's a risk. If you just carry them from home to the car and then from the car to the veterinary office, that should do the trick. so I'm worried that this case might not be as durable as we need it to be. The screws didn't go in the holes that were drilled in at the time of manufacture so I couldn't get them all in and some required a lot of effort. Traveling The sticker that came with it was taped over during packing which caused it to tear when I tried to remove the tape rendering it unusable. It was left open on the floor - great price, locks are fine and it has extra screws too. The bottom half seems pretty solid, which is important. The door seems strong enough. I added some zip ties to be absolutely sure my cat can't remove or open the door, but the door won't break no matter how much force he applies to it or how much he scratches.
