Let me start by saying that I would not recommend these struts to the standard DIY enthusiast. These racks "work". But they're a bit too long, making them difficult to put on without a lot of muscle, nor do they have clips to adjust them properly. Existing Lexus/Toyota clamps that come with your factory carriers WILL NOT WORK with these carriers without major modifications to the clamps and the carrier itself. I personally used an angle grinder to change the tabs where the holes are supposed to use the factory clips. The clamps themselves also required some trimming and bending to work properly. Without mounting clips, the posts are unreliable and will fall out when reused. Don't buy them if you don't know how to solve problems. They work, they get the job done after you manage to install them, but if I had to do it all over again I would buy a kit with the correct mounting hardware.
