So I bought these to replace the HALO L2001X units on a single circle Halo Power-Trac. These LED blocks are not suitable for the power rail. No twisting will cause the metal contacts to slide into the grooves inside the rail. This happens for two reasons. First, the metal fins are a little wider than you would expect from Halo rails - I confirmed this by comparing the LED blocks to my L2001X. Second, the metal protrusions are thicker than on my L2001X. After much trial and error I decided to replace the brushed metal on the new LED blocks with tabs I had detached from the L2001X. This caused some units to slip midway. It didn't work for other departments. Perhaps the load and ground tabs are still too thick. I managed to rotate most of the blocks so they look right from the outside. But when I looked inside the rail, I saw that the meta reeds weren't fully inserted - they were pushed to the side by twisting. All nodes work in this state. But I am very concerned that this creates a fire hazard. The thin plastic body of the device takes a lot of stress to stay straight in this configuration. I don't know when one of the metal tabs breaks solid contact and arcing. I think I'll find an alternative and return it.
