This replaced the beloved 18V Ryobi which had many good qualities so I was willing to be grumpy about it. Unfortunately Ryobi batteries don't hold a charge anymore and this 21 volt system was cheaper than a spare battery so I decided to give it a try. She definitely convinces me. It's a lot lighter, although more powerful - my wife is definitely a lot more comfortable with it than the heavier driver it replaced. Battery life held up, mainly indoors. The case that comes with it is good - heavy but not too bulky, and a good selection of bits and screw heads including a piece for working around corners. There's also a box of screws and drywall holders, but I was pleasantly surprised that it's not designed to increase the number of parts - in fact, there are 65 useful parts in the kit. I'm still figuring out torque adjustments and I haven't tried it on every step of a major home renovation, but it's done a great job with the little work accumulated from its predecessor, which no longer holds a charge.
