The CPR V5000 is very easy to use which makes it a good option for technical callers. Just click the "Block Now" button when you receive a call that you want to block. However, if you daisy chain it as recommended, no caller ID information will be sent to your phone. The incoming number is displayed on the CPR V5000, but it's just a number - no name, date or time stamp. I rely on this information in my call log, so the recommended install is not an option for me. CPR V5000 stopped all calls on a blocked call on a daisy chain connection. I used an alternate parallel connection method to be able to present all caller ID information and store it in my phone. However, with a bridge connection, your phone will ring once for all incoming barred calls. It was almost as annoying as not having a call blocker, so I returned the CPR V5000 and bought a call blocker that reflects all caller ID information on my phone and doesn't ring when a call is blocked.
