I have painted and varnished A LOT (hundreds) in my time. I've tried almost every brand of "cabinet" paint. This is by far the best I've ever used. The paint is very thick and easy to apply. Preparatory work is always an important step, especially when painting kitchen cabinets. Not only did I clean 2 times with a degreaser, I also lightly sanded all surfaces with an orbital sander and used a sticky cloth to remove all residue and dust. 2 coats and the coverage is amazing. I don't recommend this brand for a protective (top) layer (it had a lot of lumps and skin, I had to sand it and apply a new layer). There is no need to use a top coat unless you want a semi-matte smooth finish (apply with a brush). a week later this color"bulletproof". Binds tight and cannot break.
