Bought a boombox from GPO 3-4 weeks ago, says it has a lithium ion battery, not nickel metal hydride and it doesn't last more than 24 charge hours. It doesn't make that much noise, it's sort of a novelty as opposed to a serious old-school style boombox. Not enough power. Many features are missing, such as the recording level. are on the unit another kind of play school or onesie, like. No noise cancellation overall, the device feels cheap but if you want something that looks like an old school boombox then this should be the bill, just wish it had a few extra features, a slightly better design and more Perfomance. I like the way the tweeters look, the outline of the tweeter shows through the grille and it doesn't look that aesthetically pleasing. On the good side it really does look like an old radio and also the tuner was a bit odd it just didn't feel like a traditional tuner when you record with this unit or try to do a cassette it had bass and sounds . Mids but lacked highs, I don't know why. But I do know that when you try to record a cassette on this thing it comes out nice and loud but lacks quality treble reproduction. And let's look at one more thing, the amount of sound it makes and the specs, but like I said, overall it looks good. and it's portable so I have to give it one star because it looks like something from the 80's but low volume, lots of different features like noise reduction or recording levels, a decent selection of vu meters and maybe a lot of it would be overlooked, if only it made more sound but I'm sure they tried to give it some battery life so I get where they're coming from but it's just missing a lot of things that I think could make it a lot better. In my opinion, I think that maybe after aging a little bit when the price drops to $100 this device will definitely be worth the price but not worth the $260 price tag.
