This hat now goes with me on all of my outdoor adventures. I have taken it fishing, shooting, and hiking in the mountains. I also use it when I do yard work out in the sun. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to throw into a backpack or even fold up and go into a pocket. I'm glad there is a chinstrap cord attached because I slipped and fell in a river fishing with this hat on, and without the strap, it would have been down the river. It provides great shade coverage not just for my face, but also for my neck as well. The snaps on the side that allow the hat to be rolled up are positive and easy to actuate.My only complaint is that the molly webbing attached above the brim of the hat that encircles your head is pretty flimsy and I wouldn't trust it to actually hold anything. It seems like more of an ornamental addition than a functional one, but for $7.99 I am not going to complain about it. Overall, this hat has been a great addition to my outdoors gear and anyone looking for a lightweight, sun/shade hat that is capable of filling many roles, will be pleased with this Boonie hat as well.
