I wear it to do my yard work maybe 3 times between washings, and yes, by then it DEFINITELY needs it, However, I highly recommend washing in cold water and mild detergent. (Update: poured water on the hat and worked gently for a few minutes and it loosened up.) For the price it's a good spare hat to keep in the car as a spare. I like the hat but it's a little too small. The large hat doesn't fit my extra large head. I have no complaints but do wish they made an extra large one.

These hats were great. The kids loved wearing them at their dig site. I also got one for myself. Fit well but it was hot keeping it on all day. (I'm not a hat person) they were a great valur.

This hat seems well made and provides enough shade to reduce risk of sun damage and skin cancer. It fits well, is lightweight and I forget that I am wearing it. Does not have a sweat band, but the fabric is durable and quick to dry. $9 well spent.

This hat is super close to Army issued boonie hat, issued in late 1992 for Somalia deployed. Really like it a lot, want to get my name (back) & E5 rank sewed on it now.

Bought this hat for hunting whitetail deer. It is comfortable and light, perfect for early season bow hunting. The camo pattern is so effective that I lost my first hat when I dropped it while waking into the woods. I had walked about 200yds before I realized I had dropped it. I back tracked along my trail twice looking for my hat but it blended in so well I could not find it in the brush along my path.

It’s great except for the slide on the strings to tighten/loosen frequently loosens by itself. I need to retighten often in windy conditions.

Got this for a dress up theme at my school. We are doing a camping theme and this was perfect for that! Quality was a lot better than I thought it would be based on the price I paid. Was supper pleased with the product and the super fast arrival! Would def. recomend this!

Great hat folds up real nice in my pack can even close my bandana in it. I hand wash it with ease no sweat stains. You can stow it so easily and for the price it works for me hiking in the desert.

Comfortable, even on my big head. This is a light feeling cotton/poly blend that dries fast and doesn't get all bogged up with sweat when things get hot. Both snaps work, and brim is wide enough to keep the sun off the tops of my ears. It doesn't get all 5 stars because 1) the plastic clasp on the drawcord is pretty darn cheap, don't expect it to last long. Grate quality, tuff fabric, 4" brim. My head is kinda big I have a little room still. If to big still put it in (hot) water. Grate hats.

I could not get the top to stay in the shape I wanted. Fabric is very thin, and the brim was folded, so I could not properly curve the sides up.

My eyes hurt even with sunglasses, but this badboy helped me tremendously. Blocks the sun and it's breathable. That's my review.

My dermatologist told me if I do not start wearing a broad-brimmed hat when I am outside in the sun, I will need a total face and head transplant.
