Bought this to wear working outside in the HEAT. Serves it purpose very well shading my face and keeping it from getting burned. I wear it to do my yard work maybe 3 times between washings, and yes, by then it DEFINITELY needs it, However, I highly recommend washing in cold water and mild detergent. To keep from possible fading and shrinking. I wash my hat with other cold washable clothes in our washing machine. I then let the hat air dry. I didn’t buy this for dress. But to work in and it’s serving it’s purpose very well. Very fair price.
