I have a small aroma diffuser in my bedroom that doesn't seem to be used anymore. This product claims to be both an aroma diffuser and humidifier which is why I ordered it. If I had to rate it strictly at that level I would only give it a star or two. However, this product is more of a humidifier than an aroma diffuser. This humidifier holds a lot of water; much water. That's good as it also releases a lot of water so you don't have to refill it every few hours. In one of the photos I uploaded I put a glass pen in it for perspective. A nice feature is that the stem that creates the mist is integrated into the lid. This makes filling the tank very easy as nothing stands in the way of the water pouring the water in when filling. It says it also doubles as an aroma diffuser, but I found that pretty useless. I think the reason is how much water it holds. The special aroma diffuser that I have in my bedroom only absorbs a little water and distributes the fragrance excellently throughout the bedroom. However, this product contains so much water that you will most likely need to pour half a bottle of oil here to be effective. Oil is actually quite expensive, so that doesn't happen. Here's my biggest problem: The blue light is on all the time. There is a special light button that when turned on emits a small multi-colored light on the inside of the sink that alternates between the multi-colored lights like a mini light show. I'm not exactly sure why you need it, but it's there when you need it. The only problem is the uneven bright blue light making it clear it's on! Even when the light show is off, it will light up and stay on. I sealed it with black tape but to no avail. The entire transparent pool has been illuminated in blue! It's hardly noticeable during the day, but it's incredibly bright in a dark bedroom! The whole bedroom was flooded with blue light and it was driving me crazy! It was the last night in my bedroom! For this reason I moved it to my guest room, it was too much light at night! I tried to take a picture in good light but it's hard to keep the camera from compensating for the darkness. However, it is a SPECIAL BLUE LIGHT! Light issue aside, this thing is a great humidifier and I definitely noticed a difference in humidity in our upstairs bedrooms in our old house. If light is not an issue for you and you are looking for a dedicated humidifier (rather than an aroma diffuser) then this is a great product that will serve you well.
