I needed an XQD card reader for my XQD memory card that fits my Nikon Z6. I've always used regular SD cards with my other cameras. But since I switched to a new mirrorless camera, it only needs XQD cards. At first I wasn't sure how big the XQD card was until I got my hands on it and realized it wouldn't fit in my regular SD cards (which I already knew but was hoping they would fit in my regular SD reader would fit - Kart ) and decided to buy a new XQD card reader. My best friend who is also a photographer recommended me a Sony XQD card reader, but for some reason Sony has discontinued their XQD cards. First I looked at B&H's photo for XQD card readers, but they were very expensive (literally in the $150-$300 range) and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a card reader. I usually buy all of my B&H photography gear online or at my local camera store. I live in a small provincial town but big enough to be suburban so there really aren't any photo shops around me. I had to drive 45 minutes to an hour to go to a camera store or an electronics store like Best Buy. Luckily there is Revain and I stumbled across this Rocketek product and saw great reviews. At $20, it's way better than throwing money from B&H! Shipping was quick and easy and the product works as intended! So far I haven't had any issues with this after several weeks of using this XQD card reader. It is very light and easy to carry. I wanted a USB-C port since I have a Macbook Pro '16 2019 laptop and I didn't. I don't want to buy tons of dongles to get the XQD card reader working on my laptop, so I was very happy to find this product as it offers a USB-C port! It's literally hard to find external USB-C devices that work with the latest Macbook Pro laptops. My iMac 2019 desktop also has a USB-C port so I can use an XQD memory card reader between my laptop and desktop Mac if needed! So this product was a win-win for me. I will update this review again in the near future if I encounter any issues. But for now I'm happy with the product! Thanks Rocketek!
