Cozy Legs Flat Heater, Wall Mount

The knee room on my desk doesn't have a protective panel and my desk is next to an outside wall where it's cool in winter. I bought a Cozy Legs flat warmer to keep my legs, ankles and feet warm. The panel is attached to the drywall with an adhesive backing, velcro that come with insulation. The streaks stayed on the wall but detached from the panel within the first week, even after careful use of the included alcohol wipes to clean the mounting surface. According to my optical pyrometer, the surface of the hot plate varies between 145 F. I'm not sure how accurate my port cargo pyrometer is, but you'll immediately withdraw your hand (no burns) if you touch the hot plate. It seems to match the indications. The back stays cool, the panel is leaning against the wall but not attached to the wall. The power cord is long enough, the on/off switch is in the middle. The switch glows brightly when the panel is on. The panel is either off or on at full power. When the panel is on, you're sitting next to a warm wall, but little heat is projected into the knee area. My desk has a 1" x 4" decorative/structural panel on the back in the knee area that ends about 3" from the wall. This plate and the electrical cables wrapped around it are not hot to the touch. Anyone who buys this heating plate to compensate for the coolness will be disappointed. Buy a heater instead. The panel basically keeps you from radiating heat away from your body onto a cool surface.
