I have just ordered a second home. In the photo the kennel looks like it has a green top, but I have the same natural wood as the sides. The kennel I received has a brown finish so it doesn't match the picture. However, I really like the look of the house. I also ordered a heater and I really liked it. Maybe it could be more durable, but I'm satisfied. When I first opened the box and tried to pull it out the case came loose but we secured it with glue/clip. So be careful not to pull it out of the fairing as it is only decorative and will break. I would recommend carefully trimming the box in the corner. I also had to drill holes in the plastic legs because I still can't see a way to drive a nail into them without doing this, so that was an extra step I had to do. Both are located under our covered porch and not directly outside, although they are very close to the natural elements.
