Waste of money for dogs

I bought the largest available (they rate it up to a 95 lb dog), the size is pretty good for a large dog but the build quality and structure is it absolute rubbish. The wood is very thin (1/4 inch). My German Shepherd puppy weighs 32 pounds and the house creaks and pops when he walks inside. Much of the wood is split at the factory and is very sharp. I now need to buy stronger wood to strengthen the floor and walls. I would not recommend this home if you have a very small breed (less than 20…

waste of money. Look elsewhere

The item arrived with numerous chips and cracks along the roof boards. One of the attachment points was broken. Still, it looked good and I was able to assemble it. I was hoping to return it but Amazon will send you to the manufacturer. By the way, the picture is misleading. The black roofing material required for weather protection is not included in the scope of delivery. We kept it. But now 4 months later the wood has cracked in other places including the wood that supports the floorboards…

DO NOT BUY THE COMPLETE CHARACTER

OK I am very disappointed in this kennel. This is the biggest crap I've ever ordered from Revain in the last ten years. The roof has no waterproofing properties, it is literally a sheet of plywood with false battens glued to it. The entire kennel is held by 4 bolts and 4 screws and a child can break it by pushing hard. The floorboards are so flimsy my 60 lb dog sags in them when he sits. If I could give that a zero I would call it junk, don't buy it, I repeat, don't buy it. To update. Uploaded…

could it be my case?

I have booked this home in the past and it was GREAT. But I left home when I moved to another state. Bought this house new in December and just assembled it last week (April). A little disappointed this time. There are no tiles on the roof and there is no way to attach the legs. As a result, the house keeps slipping off the legs (there were screws in the kit for the legs, but there are no holes for the screws in the legs, and I don't have anything to poke through the plastic (the legs are…

Second home ordered (consultation)

I have just ordered a second home. In the photo the kennel looks like it has a green top, but I have the same natural wood as the sides. The kennel I received has a brown finish so it doesn't match the picture. However, I really like the look of the house. I also ordered a heater and I really liked it. Maybe it could be more durable, but I'm satisfied. When I first opened the box and tried to pull it out the case came loose but we secured it with glue/clip. So be careful not to pull it out of…

Cute little kennel

VERY EASY ASSEMBLY - two bolts fit into the pre-drilled holes in each corner with a lock nut. The flooring just matched; Note - the notched sides go to the edge. A screw at each corner holds the roof in place. I thought the wood smelled really nice, I love the smell of cedar, but it felt a bit brittle and cracked when I inserted one of the screws. I'm not sure how long it will withstand the weather but I'm still very happy with my purchase. Everything arrived safely in a box covered with bubble

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Suitable for 3 small dogs. About 50 lbs, the bottom hasn't broken yet

So easy to assemble! I'm a practical woman, but even Ikea items take me a little more time than men, and I follow instructions a lot. It was a lot easier! I use it for an adult pug and two pug puppies that are almost 4 months old. They all smell great and they love it. I've read reviews of the floor and seen it break, but plan on putting something underneath when it does or hopefully sooner than it does! So far it's rock solid. The legs screw in with a screw that comes off so I don't know how…

Bought August 2010 and still

I have had this kennel for almost 10 years now. I admit it feels a bit flimsy because the wood is on the thinner side. 3 dogs passed. When I first bought it it had a Jack Russell Terrier and a Portuguese Water Dog (PWD). I immediately put a nice little foam mattress in and replaced it with other pillows over the years, but there was always something on the bottom for comfort. There are no cracks in the wood at the moment. Eventually my 17 year old terrier died and I adopted a 9 year old…
