VERY EASY ASSEMBLY - two bolts fit into the pre-drilled holes in each corner with a lock nut. The flooring just matched; Note - the notched sides go to the edge. A screw at each corner holds the roof in place. I thought the wood smelled really nice, I love the smell of cedar, but it felt a bit brittle and cracked when I inserted one of the screws. I'm not sure how long it will withstand the weather but I'm still very happy with my purchase. Everything arrived safely in a box covered with bubble wrap. I turned the kennel towards the house and cut a second hole in the side to make a passage for the dog door. I also bought a door valve which I added as well. My dogs love it and I love it. For what I need it for I am happy with this purchase and will buy again. * I noticed a few complaints about warping after the wood got wet, I had some waterproof varnish left over which I applied to the house to weatherproof it.
