Saved my shoulder, ride and MTB rides with my wife

Wow. What is the difference in apartments. I'm a middle-aged mountain biker with far more passion than skill. The kids raced when they were little and have been clipless off-road for over 25 years. A month ago I was rolling slowly on a technical climb when I couldn't unhook. I was inches away from shoulder surgery due to a fractured shoulder blade (a sharp rock left a mark on the rest of my shoulder). At my age, that's impossible. Took the plunge after reading the reviews. I love it. Amazing grip, no effect on climbing or kicking during my normal range of motion. But when you lower the saddle and put weight on them, they hook up perfectly. . .well type stealth rubber on flat pedals with pins. What can I say amazing. I clean up sections I haven't dared to ride before because I can help out. I had to adjust the saddle to ride a little lower, but that's about it. What I do not like? I was a terrible bunny and it didn't help me. The guides require (at least for me) a little more sensitivity. And you have to be careful when you pedal because they don't slip. To change position, you need to lift your leg - this is how they hold well. I can't wait to get back to my nemesis to either clean it up or walk on it without damaging it. The size is a bit small - more like road bike shoes. 1/2 more if you like roomy toes. How much did I like her? Bought a pair for my wife (along with gorgeous ballet flats with pins - read a separate review). She smiled in the first minute of the ride. The shoes took her from "an avid roadie but shy click MTB rider" to "hey, let me try THAT one more time!" Now we mountain bike together a lot more - thanks to these boots! - and it's worth every price. FWIW, I'm getting the winter version so I can get through the next 3 months on my fat bike. said Nuff. - When you're at the limit, just pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed.
