I followed the advice of another reviewer and watched a video about how to open the container, since I was worried after seeing all the other reviews about it being hard to open, and I've had no problem opening it. You just squeeze the two tabs toward each other and twist the lid. (It might be difficult if you have arthritis or problems using your hands though.)My biggest annoyance is that the scoop is too big for the container, so you can't get a full scoop. There also isn't a lot of product when you realize how much you have to use for each load.I assume it does what it's supposed to though, and it smells nice.
