The various mesh pockets on this target definitely come in handy. It's really designed to be targeted with a hit-and-run chip, and it does an excellent job for that purpose. I use a different target for my preferred shot, which is more of a soft, smooth shot that goes most of the way to the hole. This Callaway device handles chip impact very well. At least initially. Last winter, when we were out of town, I made the mistake of leaving for a week because of the bad weather. When we got back, the straps on the middle row of bags had come loose. I'm not really surprised as I don't think it was meant to be left open but it was disappointing nonetheless. I think if you keep it at home it will be very useful over time.
