The block is not safe at all. Can be opened without entering a code.

Okay, just to be safe I decided to check it out. I was able to open the device by giggling around the handle and was able to open the device within 20 seconds without entering a code. Thinking I hadn't locked it properly, I asked my wife to open and lock it to make sure the handle was actually locked. I was still able to play with the handle and was able to open it again without entering a code. This device is not protected at all, any child can access it and access the content.
