Cylinder is not manufactured by Luxfer as advertised. Luxfer is a well-known brand. Cylinders manufactured by Luxfer were stamped "Luxfer" or "Lux" in some cases. L6X cylinders are made in the USA and must be Luxfer stamped. There is no maker's mark on the bottle I received. When I took the bottle to my local gas store, a family store with a lot of experience with gas bottles, I was told that the bottle I have was not made by Luxfer. Marking by which the lineage of the cylinder can be easily ascertained. In fact, it may well be made of the same material and pass all the tests as the Luxfer L6X cylinder. My issue and the reason for the low score is that the product labeling on the bottle does not match the product description nor does it match what the Luxfer website says a genuine Luxfer bottle should be. In fact, the fully polished aluminum cylinder doesn't even match the picture in the product description, which only shines the body and not the dome. swap my shiny and new bottle of unknown origin for an already filled, genuine Luxfer bottle, albeit a little older by 3 months. I jumped at the offer. I'd rather trust an older product from a known supplier than a brand new product of unknown origin. I gave 3 stars for the material category as it is aluminum and passed the pressure test.
