The big one is a bit small for a man's hand but is well built and much better designed.
I'm glad I got the "Big" because it was uncomfortably tight on my not very large male index finger. However, I found that you can stretch the green rubber with little effort and get a landing without questioning. The thimble itself is a huge improvement over the type my mom and her mom used in the 50's-80's.
