I work on backup generators and testing the starting system is almost the first test. My boss has a liking for these digital testers, I prefer carbon post testers as you are actually testing the battery under load rather than theorizing with voltage and resistance readings like these electronic testers do. Other than that, the few times I've used the autotester I think it worked as advertised. I didn't suspect a bad battery, just checked before proceeding. The accuracy seems ok compared to other digital testers with the same battery. In a stationary application, battery service will skew the readings, requiring you to completely disconnect the battery from the engine and charging system, which can be labor intensive. The 24V option is practically useless. I have not been able to test successfully with a 24v system with 2 batteries in series. Even trying to test the batteries individually at 12V in series will result in false errors every time. You still need to pinch the wires for insulation. However, any carbon tester worth buying usually costs over $500.
