So I recently took my 2007 Chevy Suburban on a road trip. Low and lo and behold, 100 miles in, dash lights are on with 'Service Traction Control' and 'Stabilitrak Off' illuminated on dash. This repeated itself during my 400 mile trip. It's also noticed that AFM doesn't switch between V8 and V4 modes. Started researching online horror stories about MAF sensor replacements, $2,000 repair bills, etc. Stumbled upon an article discussing issues with intermittent cruise control and traction control service messages popping up on the dashboards. .I had occasional problems with the cruise control. So I'm looking at less than $12, let's give it a try. I'm glad I did. This little part controls so many things as I explored it. Replace it with a 10mm spanner and a flat head screwdriver. A very good place to start if you have any of the above problems.
