The apartment's second column was purchased for the sake of convenience. The sound is more silky than in the original "small." The ability to connect to an external amplifier is a major benefit. No need to yell across the apartment while controlling a smart home; one speaker is in the kitchen and this one is in the bedroom. Keeping the volume down to around 6-7 o'clock is fine for daytime listening of radio, music, etc. I haven't tried pairing the speaker with the projector over bluetooth yet, but if that's successful, the projector's audio can be heard through enormous speakers, which would be an entirely new experience compared to watching a film.
