I've put a lot of time and effort into choosing a litter box because even though I clean the bowl twice a day ---- ---- I can't get any "things" out of the Street in the bin up to 3 or even 4 days in a row. I've used all types of diaper pails and this one is by far the best of them all for both kitty litter and diapers. Jean also doesn't allow you to style a lot at once. The toilet ghost brand is very clumsy and requires the back to be arched. This system is so much better than this garbage can genius! This system is easy to open with your foot. I can stand up straight No bend required. The decor plus bucket comes with 2 lids. Top cover and inner cover that has a hatch. After I open the bucket with a light pedal, only the top lid opens ------------------ and the INSIDE lid that stays closed, saving me from that horrible smell from stench keeps air . no smell Then I just drop the bag into the hatch of that inner lid. Ready. I usually use the bags that are sold for the decor plus bucket (but I can use ANY bag inside if I run out of decor bags). In the other photos I'm trying to show how I can pull the long inner sleeve of the decor pouch down for cutting into the included cutting case. Then I tie a knot and a new bag begins. (This is diatomaceous earth powder in a bucket, for fleas from my new cat, sorry) BENEFITS -------- ODORLESS, simple, opens with one FOOT, doesn't bend and doesn't require 2 hands to close use, freeing the other hand, and does not require "pushing" or filling the contents through the hatch. I can use any bag to put in the bucket, although I prefer the type that is sold specifically for this decor plus bucket. The inner lid stays closed until you drop the contents, saving you a whiff of stinky air when the top lid pops open. It has a lock so children cannot get in. CONSI really can't think of any disadvantages. In 3 months I've noticed once or twice that I haven't fully closed the large side door but this is user error although I think it could be made a bit easier to fully close it.
