Review on RD901 Heavy Duty Truck Scanner: DPF & Oil Light Reset, All System Diesel Scan Tool for Cummins, Detroit, MaxxForce | Romondes Truck Scanner by Tom Oberhue

I have a fleet of Frieghtliner Cascadia with Detroit engines. When I first used this tool, the engine light came on and the tool failed to read the DTCs. I went through the whole list and some could not be contacted, the rest said there is no information about the error code. The scanner is useless if it cannot perform the basic function of reading diagnostic trouble codes. No regeneration is carried out either. This worked as it should, but after supposedly regenerating for at least an hour I checked and found that the scan tool says complete but the engine is still running at high speed. After stopping and restarting the engine, the lamp for the necessary DPF regeneration came on again. This is literally the worst scanner I have ever used. I've been a diesel technician for 20 years and have used at least a dozen different scan tools. I would not recommend this scanner to anyone.
