Review on Aqueon QuietFlow E Internal Power Filter Large - Efficient Filtration for 40 Gallon Tanks by Tiffany Love

I have a 20 gallon reef tank with tons of live rock that already serves as a filter for my tank. That's why I bought the 10 gallon version. Filtering is not the reason I bought this. I bought this because I had high phosphate levels and the treatment I would use for it requires an outboard transom filter. My flashlight doesn't allow hanging a rear filter, so I had to look for an internal filter. I didn't like the Tetra Whisperers and all the other internal filters just because they were either too long/big or didn't have enough space inside to actually fit the treatment bag. Until I found it! Within 10 minutes of installation, my water was crystal clear, especially on the water surface (which was oily brown and dirty from my reef tank). Love this filter, it's short but big enough for treatment/treatment bags. Definitely recommend! When it works well in a reef tank it works wonders in a freshwater tank and the current isn't too strong which is perfect the current doesn't bother too much for my corals! (:
