I bought 4 skeins in December 2013 to use on 2 bushes outdoors. In general I am very happy with them. I think they look pretty cute and are the closest thing to the old C9s I grew up with. As for durability. A lightbulb broke due to ice falling off the roof (my fault). In the winter 2 more lightbulbs burned out. Not that bad. Now I'm going to buy spare bulbs so I have them for next winter. The only caveat is they say you can only concatenate 2 strings. So if you have a big tree you either need to install something with a side-by-side extension. cable or just ignore their warnings. All I'm saying is be careful with cheap electronics like this. They get pretty hot even with only two strings connected. But yes I would recommend these lamps if you like the old school look.
