I love popcorn! I mean I can eat it every day. I wanted to buy an 8 ounce machine and wife wanted a 2.5 ounce machine. We chose a 4 oz block. It was easy to put together but there were no instructions in the kit so if you don't have them you may run into problems. The machine is easy to clean and together forms a solid unit. There are a few sheet metal stampings, but the main popcorn maker seems solid. What is disappointing is the overall size when the 4 ounce kit is taken out. That's barely the size of an ordinary stovetop pot. If you're a popcorn lover like me and have a team that also wants to share a yummy treat, you might want to size up a size or two. Since this is a home use popcorn maker, the kettle spoon gets stuck when the kettle spindle turns and the plastic gears sound like they're jumping and popping. Don't overdo it with the amount of popcorn. In short, if you want a classic popcorn maker but only need one bowl at a time, this machine is for you if you want to make multiple bowls bigger at once.
