Review on Cosco 11120RED1E Retro Counter Chair by Leo Puente

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this poor quality copy of a sweet childhood memory. Don't repeat my mistake. MANY builds that quickly become poorly designed: front and rear struts are misaligned; Plastic guides that wear out badly (this is confirmed by other reviews); thin plastic on the seat and backrest that doesn't stand up to much wear and tear. POOR MAINTENANCE: The top step is bolted to four threaded posts that run through the leg frames. One of these posts spins freely, making it impossible to tighten the screw. Sent a letter through "Contacts" on their website. No Answer. Called two days later and spent 15 minutes on hold to listen to an endless looping tape seemingly designed to make you hang up. Maybe they are closed for the holidays? Finally found a man to replace the broken part "as a one time favor". Many Thanks. The product I received from Revain is NO WARRANTY (manufactured on 14/3/13). Cosco is owned by Dorel Juvenile Group, which is owned by Eddie Bauer. This experience makes me think less about EB.
