Once you open the package you get a moderately strong plastic case for the stapler, remover and three small packs of staples that come with the package. I love that the case has cut outs for everything so it's secure when you're not using it and doesn't slide around in a closed box. I know I must have another stapler or two at home, but damn if I can find them. Having a suitcase to keep everything in one place makes it easier to find. It comes with 500 8mm staples, 12mm staples and 10mm rods. While this isn't enough to handle a large amount of work, it will help you get started. The staples are easy to load and the spring-loaded latch engages with little effort. The gun doesn't take a lot of staples at once, I managed to fit only one and a half short sticks that come with the gun into the feeder. I like the tension knob on the top [I've stapled things in the past], especially when attaching fabric or vinyl to the frame, it helps control tension. The staple remover is a huge improvement over using a screwdriver and pliers. The handle is curved for a good grip, but it's a bit small for me as I have big hands. As luck would have it, shortly after receiving this I had to do repairs that required a construction stapler. I got lucky! The weapon worked smoothly, although at higher rebound levels little force was required to operate the grip. The calipers worked smoothly and reliably, and the tensioner really made a big difference in my repair. This is a good shotgun to have in your toolbox.
