Now I can see all my spices!

I love just about everything about this spice rack. These jars are the perfect shape and size, and I've found that some brands already sell spices in jars of the same shape, so I'm saving a few jars to use for new spices later. The stand sits on my counter without using the included screws. The weight of the filled cans seems to weigh them down so well that they don't tip over. The included small funnel made it easy to pour in the spices. I spent about 2.5 to 3 hours in one afternoon pouring all my spices into jars. I was amazed at how many duplicates I had! What I like best about it is that I really like how easy it is to see all the spices I have at a glance. I used to spend a few minutes rummaging through my closets looking for what I needed or running to the store thinking I didn't have anything left when in reality it was just hiding among other spices. I think I use more of my spices now when I see them all outside. I agree with other reviewers who suggest putting a sticker on after you close the metal lid. I forgot to make sure a lot of mine aren't perfectly aligned, but that's enough for me to be able to read them without tilting my head, so no big deal if you forget too. A small white marker is also a good addition. I don't need it yet, but it's on the bottom shelf so I don't lose it. I particularly liked the included sticker options and the double-sided printed list of all the spice names, which helped me stay organized. I highly recommend buying the 36 pot option, you will be surprised at how quickly you fill most if not all of your pots. I only have about 6 jars left and almost no shelf space. I think my only complaint is the little plastic lid on the jar itself (if you unscrew the metal lid) to spill the condiments. The holes are a little bigger than I would like. The first time I shook some salt, I poured out too much and too quickly, so I quickly learned to watch how much I shook out to avoid spilling too much. So I would like the holes to be slightly smaller or at least two different sizes so you can swap them out depending on your spice needs as some spices need larger holes. On the other side of that plastic lid is a small piece that you can open to pour a larger amount. Mine seems to have trouble staying up on its own so I try to hold it open with one hand and hold the spoon with the other and end up having a bit of a mess from either under watering or over watering . (Although maybe I should keep pushing it? I'm afraid it might break if I do). So instead I just take the whole plastic lid off to put the measuring spoon in and that solves my problem and when I'm done I put the little lid back on. I've considered permanently removing the plastic lid from some jars, but there are times when you just need to sprinkle and the holes, while a bit large, help so you don't accidentally spill the entire contents. Ideally, I'd like that side of the lid to be wider and have the little valve stay up on its own so I can at least stick a few smaller scoops into the jar without removing the entire lid and making pouring easier. In the middle of cooking, I'm sometimes bothered by that slight delay in lifting the plastic lid. Aside from those two things, I really, really love my spice rack. It was a gift from my mom and I highly recommend it for your kitchen!
