It took a lot of careful measurement and planning. It's best to install midway between two studs or so. I have a short wall with a bolt dead center where I needed a TV, some modifications were needed. I bought it because it looked the strongest to hold my 60 inch Samsung completely over the top of my piano and it had two rows of screw holes on each side of the top to support the weight. However when I got it out of the way to the last inner hole there was only one hole and not two so I had to drill an extra hole in the bracket, especially as it was the dead center of the TV, more important was screwing the top two shut have that carry the most weight. Even then I had to move the TV on the rail almost to the maximum offset. If I had to do it again I could install Unistrut on three studs and then install it on Unistrut. Then I got so misaligned on the slider that even after tightening it didn't stay straight until the washers were badly bent and I was afraid of breaking the bolts so I had to tape a spirit level up and it on the high Side Hold I drilled a sheet metal screw hole to hold it in place (I glued a metal spacer on the back where I drilled to avoid banging through the back of the TV). It took some ingenuity and extra work, but I finally got it working and I'm happy with it now. An ordinary person would not be able to do this.
