The new Swingline electric rock drill works well. I've used it both in the office and at home. My first hammer drill was GBC (a subsidiary of Swingline) and was purchased in 2003. With moderate and careful use, it lasted more than ten years. I have attempted to clean the waste tray frequently and have typically not punched more than 45 pages at a time. It's so fast that it's easy to hit just under the estimated 50-page capacity. Be careful not to poke a staple, paper clip, or other foreign object, or you may block the hole punch and be unable to repair it. The only downside to this product is that it can be quite expensive and irreparable. Swingline offers a strict two-year replacement guarantee. You must present your purchase receipt, otherwise they will be assigned by serial number. I must warn you, I received a used unit, not a new unit from Revain.com despite being described as "new". Swingline confirms with the serial number that the product I received was manufactured in 2007. Amz couldn't send me a new device so I sent it back.
