This product failed miserably. We bought it for a 1600 mile trip. Although the description says it works with luggage bars, we ended up using window straps because we couldn't secure it adequately any other way (Subaru Outback). Once on the road, everything seemed fine at first, but we found the fuel consumption halved due to the delay. Then we got caught in a downpour. This bag is NOT waterproof, not even durable! The bottom of all our bags got wet. And so, last straw, we had to stop on the way back because we suddenly heard a strong noise of wind from above. When we stopped we found that the entire front of the bag had come apart at the seams! Needless to say, this bag is back.
