I would recommend the product but a few comments

Just installed this on my 2003 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado. Simple as can be. I put off the repair for six months thinking it would be a nuisance. I should have done that earlier. One critical comment: the motor/mechanism is a little louder than stock. Just wave a little. It's an old truck, so I don't mind. One piece of advice: when it comes time to tighten the clamps on your window, take some time to make sure the adjuster isn't tilting the window from its original position at all. I simply slipped the window into the clamps and tightened them. Well, after a complete assembly, I took a test drive and found that the rear top edge of the window wasn't airtight (lots of wind/air leaks - whoops). So I removed the door panel and then slightly adjusted how the 'slide clips' engage on the window and re-tightened. Now the window closes completely around the entire perimeter. I think the advice is to be very careful with the position/orientation of the window and avoid dragging it into the slider because of offsets.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
