Bought this to seal my packs of nail strips. In that sense, this heat sealer is pretty good. The seal heats up fairly quickly (5-10 seconds as stated on the packaging). The heating element is quite thin and I wish it was a bit thicker to leave a thicker seal line. I like that it's portable, looks good and doesn't look cheap. It has a magnet, but it doesn't work very well (which is partly why I gave it 4 stars). The cutter cuts, but not very well. Maybe I tried to use it wrong? I tried to cut open a bag of chips. I don't know, anyway it didn't really bother me because I just wanted it to seal things.
