Review on ☕ Breville BNV450GRY VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Machine in Grey: Premium Home Brewing at its Finest by Danielle Nosbush

We received the coffee maker on April 23rd 2019 and it brewed coffee fairly efficiently until June 9th when the start button turned red and the container that the pod was placed in failed opened and the machine was very hot to the touch. We followed the instructions printed in the accompanying booklet and found that the company was aware that this situation could occur ("Internal Machine Error" as they call it) and we followed the instructions to resolve the issue. We unplugged the coffee maker for about 30 minutes, plugged it back in and the green light came on again. We tried making coffee again and the same sequence of events happened and we finally unplugged it until this morning June 10th. This morning we plugged in the machine, the button turned green and the socket opened. We put the pod in and pressed the start button and it went red again and wouldn't brew coffee or open. The brochure adds that in this case we have to contact the Nespresso Club, whatever it is. The Revain website states that "the return window (for our gizmo) closed on May 23rd". The lifespan of this gadget was less than 6 weeks and it was unceremoniously buried in the trash where it belongs with a Glad plastic bag as a shroud. Briefly mourning the $170 we gave Revane for this defective unit, we turned and left. Next? Black and Decker drip coffee maker, not Nespresso. car of course.
