later This works fine for what we need. I have a large stainless steel kettle that I use at home every day and wanted something for travel as I am an avid tea drinker. This portable kettle holds less than my home kettle and takes longer to heat up, but I planned this after reading other reviews. Also, as others and the instructions have pointed out, when you're done heating the water, you should turn it off.
