Good cutting mat
I've only used this mat 3-4 times but it works well. I've never had a "self-healing" mat so wasn't sure what to expect from the self-healing nature of the product, but it works pretty well. I use a mat to trim excess canvas from photo prints on canvas, so I apply quite a bit of pressure with a razor. You can see where the cut was made on the mat and you can feel it, but it seems to be healing fairly well and I don't think previous cuts will affect future cuts. I'm not sure how many cuts you could make in the same area before performance is affected - time will tell. The rug lies flat and holds up well. Odor? Yes, it smells like plastic - not a problem for me.
