I have an old but very useful Lenovo T430. I never managed to get the mini displayport video to work. The NVIDIA driver cannot be installed. Life is short. I decided to use only the VGA output. This VGA to HDMI gets the job done. Here's a word of caution. There are VGA to HDMI cables. This device is an active piece of electronics. It is powered by the USB port. The USB cable comes with the adapter.
