New use for this product

My wife and I have been members of a gym for a number of years that has several TVs with FM channels on the wall and you can bring your own radio and listen in front of the TV, while you exercise. We also have a treadmill and use it several days a week. I also enjoy running and we have a TV that we can listen to while running. However, you have to turn up the volume just enough to be able to hear through the unpleasant running noise of the treadmill. As I thought about the system at the gym, I thought there must be a product that works the same as what's available at the club. To my surprise, I found nothing. Then I came across this Assistive Listening System. Although it is intended for people with hearing disabilities, I was wondering if it would work the same as the gym system. I called Sennheiser tech support and asked a few questions and thought it might work so I ordered it. The benefit of this system is that you can add your own headphones, so I bought a set of sport headphones and hooked them up to the receiver with great results. When the transmitter is plugged into our TV's audio output, the TV's speakers are turned off and the sound is transmitted through the transmitter to a small receiver that the headphones are plugged into. I now run and hear all programs clearly through the headphones.
