With caution - notebook
The docking station has no power supply; So it cannot power your laptop. If your laptop can be powered by another method, you're good to go. Otherwise, your laptop battery will eventually run out. I understand now. But it was an expensive lesson. But until my laptop died, it was the perfect solution for my dual monitors. This allowed maximum resolution for both, unlike the docking station, which I gave up after buying a second monitor.
