Beware of the 3.5mm jack
It turns out that this headset doesn't have a dedicated/USB cable. The USB cable turns into a 3.5mm jack that connects to the controller. My working setup is set to only recognize true USB plug and play devices and a headset with an adapter will not work. Unfortunately I had high hopes for this headset but can't rate the sound quality or noise cancellation as it didn't work with my settings. I thought it looked good, but overall I would have preferred leather or faux leather ear pads to foam.
