Review on πŸ”Œ Portable Blue Wire Stripping Machine: Happybuy Electric Wire Stripper 0.05"-0.98" for Scrap Copper Recycling by Brent Walker

Works well although I had to wait for it.

The wire stripper works right out of the box. I think all I did was move the plate with the holes in it to use the small hole and adjust the blade. After pulling maybe 80 pounds of #12 and #10 wire through, here are my observations: There was a squeak in the gears that looked like there was no grease present. There is a filler plug under the yellow panel where the on/off switch is located. Topped up the oil in the transmission and the noise went away. I decided to drill a hole in the panel for later access without taking the thing apart. Note that the nuts holding the left side of the panel will fall down where they will be difficult to reach when you remove them. Completely remove the right screws, but only loosen the left ones and the panel slides out easily. You need to straighten the wire a bit. Not perfect, but if there are severely bent ends, it's probably better to just cut them off. The setting does not have to be fine for solid wire. The stranded wire setting must be FINE. If it cuts too deep, you'll have a lot of copper shavings in your hand and stuck everywhere. The machine is very quiet. Just a low hum that my wife doesn't normally hear in the next room with the door open. Overall I'm satisfied. By my calculations it would take about 200 pounds of wire to pay for itself.
