Great stripper for the price, I will order another one.

As many other people have said it takes a little time to figure out how low to set and set up the blade but once I figured it out stripping a bunch of copper wire of different gauges was amazing . Good tip, it should probably be lower than you think it won't break the blade or anything. Another clue I've found is to insert the wire into the hole below and then slide it into the blade. The only problem I've found is that it requires shielding from the inside of the motor. The wire will sometimes

Once you get the hang of it...

I started scrapping copper a few months ago and stripping wires has always been a labor intensive job that tires my hands. takes a bit of learning, but once you get the hang of it, it's a joy to use. I have found that using the safety gate hole slightly below the top of the reel and maintaining a small amount of tension on the cable during feed gives the best results. . Adjusting the blade down so that it presses lightly on the insulation also ensures a good cut. Too much and the strands of…

Nice quiet scraper

A good $185 machine comes with an extra cutting disc. Used it for about two hours and figured it out well. So far I've only used this on August 12 with soft braid and it works pretty well. I have to keep the wire straight so it stays on the blade but works great. I'm curious how a smaller wire would work. But August 12th and up should work just fine. Will update if I use a different cable. It's a bit heavy when not screwed on or attached to a table. A small plant tray under the engine allows…

Works well although I had to wait for it.

The wire stripper works right out of the box. I think all I did was move the plate with the holes in it to use the small hole and adjust the blade. After pulling maybe 80 pounds of #12 and #10 wire through, here are my observations: There was a squeak in the gears that looked like there was no grease present. There is a filler plug under the yellow panel where the on/off switch is located. Topped up the oil in the transmission and the noise went away. I decided to drill a hole in the panel for…
