I don't know why it has such good reviews, it's not well thought out. The depth is really not enough to protect the oil filter housing cover in most cases, it is too shallow. The tool is also a bit sloppy, causing deformation/damage to the body when working in close contact. This tool is perfectly acceptable when the cap is easy to remove but will damage tight enclosures.
