Works most of the time. works well with USB to USB adapter

I bought this to use the cinema screen power port to charge my 2016 MacBook Pro. Which happens, but only if you don't connect the movie screen via USB-C/Thunderbolt. When both are connected. No charging. If only power is connected. He loads. So it's probably the right adapter for whatever magsafe charger you have. Just don't expect it to work fully with your cinema screen.
