I've been a long time fan of Netgear products. Unfortunately, this may change with this product. The router was very easy to set up, as were the older models (I mentioned this was probably the fifth Netgear router I've bought, not to mention recommended to friends and family). The problem is with the N standard I think. It just doesn't work. In 5 GHz mode, n does not provide speed g. The router sat directly on top of the WNDA3100 adapter I was using and the speed was terrible, to say the least. I switched n to the 2.4ghz option and the router became very unstable for my g devices. When it didn't lose any signal, I ended up getting n speeds that were about 1.5 times greater than g. I've spent hours on the internet checking all the settings available to fix the issue but unfortunately I boxed the router up for a refund. Will likely go with the Range Max g-block instead. N just isn't ready for prime time - read info before you buy.
